The City of Blue Mound Water and Sewer Department is committed to serving the needs of Blue Mound residents, businesses, and visitors by providing high-quality drinking water and wastewater disposal services while implementing water conservation efforts; safeguarding public health and the environment; and providing for continuous improvements and cost effectiveness.

The responsibilities of the Public Works Department include:

*There is a drop box for your convenience- NO CASH*


  • Trash Bins are emptied every Thursday morning.

  • Bulk trash pick up is on the first Thursday of every Month. 

  • You may  place up to 4 x 4 Cubic Meters of Trash for bulk pick-up.

  • All  trash must be in a bag or container.

Garage Sale Permits & Dog Tags

A permit is required per the City Code of Ordinances to have a garage sale.

The permit is $15.00 and must be posted at the site of the sale.

All dogs & cats over the age of 4 months old must be registered annually with proof of vaccinations per the City Code of Ordinances.

Dog tags are $10.00 each

Guard dog tags $25.00 each

Dangerous Dog Registration $100

Backyard chicken permit $20 (one time fee) NO ROOSTERS; For the lifetime that tenant lives at address
